Comment on Why we all need to stand up for health freedom NOW by Elaine Bruce.

I have to say I saw this coming in the late 80’s, and decided then to alter my emphasis and practice from individual consultancy to teaching.

In the next couple of decades, I sometimes wondered if I had not been over-cautious, but in light of the last couple of years restrictions on supplements, herbs and treatments, allied with watching the persecution of Dr. Sarah Myhill by the GMC for similar matters, I am glad I personally took that path.

My own contibution for many years to which I can lay claim has been the raising of general health levels for people through the Living Foods Programme, taught to small groups or by coaching individuals.

I also hear much anecdotal evidence to which I cannot lay claim from course members and their practitoners about improvements in named conditions. However I still need my experienced colleagues who are taking on the long-term care of individuals and it is for them and their patients that like you I feel outrage.

I think we really do have to mount a very big protest, of practitioners, patients and members of the public, and we have to have a planned programme, proforma letters to M.P.s etc, and a rolling schedule for people to write and write again, and maybe take petitions to Parliament, and all those necessary steps.

It will take a few years. I think it would be a large undertaking, to plan and monitor. It needs a detemined and dedicated individual or small group to frame it and keep it going.

Regrettably I cannot offer to be part of a seminal group. (My energies are currently, and for the foreseeable future, committed to fighting the GMC.)

My newsletter and noticeboard on my website, however, are available whenever needed, and I will be sending this link out with a short editorial introduction in the next edition.

Is there some group of current students at CNN or ION or CNM or College of Homoeopathy, or any similar study course who have a huge personal and professional investment in this, ready to organise the rest of us?
