Comment on Think doctors know about nutrition? Think again by David.
My doctor was only treating the symptoms for my hypertension. His main goal was to cash flow me into returning every 3 to 4 months. He may have known something about nutrition, but only asked me what I ate for breakfast one time in 2 years. I was fed up with his pushing pills that had the warning “May cause death” among other side effects.
I read up on nutrition and introduced more vegetables and fruit along with a reduction in salt and anything with sodium. This means almost never eating out or using processed foods, but I found my previous diet had too much salt. Within 2 months, my blood pressure was normal without taking pills.
