Comment on My (amended) review of the Nutri-SquEASE juicer by Sarah Best.

Hi Kimberly – As far as I know, the closest to the Nutri-SquEASE on sale in the Americas is an orange and white version of it called the Power Press juicer. There’s an infomercial about it here. The prices are given in Mexican pesos and at today’s exchange rates, you can go to Amazon.com and get a Hurom juicer for less (link at the end of the article). Wholistic Research tell me they do not think it’s worth paying more for the Power Press than the Hurom, as that has a bigger motor and longer warranty.

Hi Sam – I hear you. I actually don’t know which model she has, but am seeing her (and her juicer!) early next week so will find out then.

My (amended) review of the Nutri-SquEASE juicer
Hi Sam – I’ve never owned an Angel juicer, but a good friend of mine has one. She swears by it – says it’s very reliable and makes very high quality juice. The only thing is, it’s quite slow as it’s (1) a horizontal twin gear juicer and (2) her model has a smaller feeding chute than the Hurom, meaning more time chopping up the produce before feeding it through. If speed is an issue I think you might find it quicker to use the Hurom and strain. But if you don’t fancy that and speed isn’t so much of an issue, then the Angel could be a good choice for you. It definitely makes high quality juice, and it looks beautiful!

So you grew up with a dad who didn’t know how to express love? Here’s how it could be affecting you today
Hi Nina,

Thank you so much for sharing that.

Yes, it is devastating to miss the love of a father.

And it’s not made any easier by the fact that this is so little talked about and understood.

But for what it’s worth, in the four years since I began writing about this topic I’ve heard from SO many women who feel just as you do.

That’s why I started my free email series on the father-daughter relationship, which is designed to answer the very questions you posed, and which I see you’ve signed up for. I hope you’ll find it helpful.

Thanks again for the share.

Thank you for commenting, Miriam. I’d forgotten that I recommended agave in this article and I’ve made a note to revise it, as I have since revised my views – very much in line with what you wrote, in fact! I blogged about that here: http://www.sarahbesthealth.com/is-agave-syrup-a-healthy-alternative-to-sugar/ I still consider brown rice syrup a great choice since it’s essentially fructose free. As for research on the impact on emotional and mental wellbeing of consuming a high-sugar diet, I couldn’t agree more! And I personally think that what’s come out on this so far is just the tip of the iceberg 🙂
